After not blogging for too long on my old blog I decided to start fresh with a new blog attached to my website. Truly much more convenient and Lord willing, hopefully now I will actually start posting on a more frequent basis.
And what is more interesting to start off my new blog with the news that, through my participation with The Artisan Group, one of my pairs of Beth Earrings (my Swarovski Pearl version) were worn by the character Olivia Lockhart played by Andie MacDowell on the Hallmark Channel's show Cedar Cove on August 9, 2014 (Season 2).
Isn't Andie simply beautiful? I was so excited to receive the news that my earrings were slated to be worn on the show and then once I saw them on TV...Well. I admit...I was truly not cool and sophisticated, calmly watching the screen. Nope. I was hopping up and down pointing to the screen and screaming in happiness to my husband and one of our dear friends making sure they couldn't miss MY earrings being worn ON TV every single time I saw them in a shot. Nope. Totally uncool. Full dork-out that night. Just keeping it real folks.
I do love these earrings though. Dainty yet utterly elegant they are fun to create and combine several of my favorite skill sets into one striking pair of earrings. Starting off with handmade and oxidized 5/8 inch Sterling Silver circles textured with my Romantic Flower & Vines and domed to give it just a little extra "pop" with the curves. Ya'll know how much I love my clusters, so I added a small sampling of snowy white 3mm Swarovski Pearl beads on individual Sterling Silver headpins wire wrapped onto dainty Sterling Silver ovals. With this version I deliberately left most of the components shiny silver instead of oxidized to truly bring out the contrast between the white pearls and shiny silver and the fabulous texture which is highlighted by the blackened silver.
My Pearl Beth Earrings are available on my website HERE for purchase.
